Default Robin Mongrel

Dave Wintz kindly sent me a few old Robin decals (THANK YOU!!) after I told him I had obtained this used Robin neck and wanted to build a guitar around it. After combining the reburbished neck with a GFS topmount body, 3 Big Mac type single coils of unknown origin and a Schecter Tremlok vibrato system, I named the resulting instrument Mongrel. It's not an authentic Robin product; rather, the instrument was built but honor the legacy of fine guitars built under the name Robin. I miss the company greatly and love playing my red Raider and my suburst RV-1. Enjoy the pics at

Very cool! Love it!

I've also built a few interesting mutts as to build and play.

This 90's Signature Guitar Co. body and an aftermarket LASIDO (Godin) neck (who were also contracted to built the Signature Guitar Co. bolt-on bodies/necks) and Evans pickups, Schaller hardware which was all stock on their guitars.

A body built by EVH's guitar tech in the 90s and another aftermarket LASIDO (Godin) neck.

A Zebrawood body and ESP neck
