Hi,

Im new here...Just picked up what I think is an 84 Robin Raider I.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm a few questions...

- Is it an 84?
- Is the pickup pictured below correct and what brand or type is it?
- What thread are the setscrews in the tremolo (this one has a few that are stripped at the allen head and need to be replaced)

I plan to restore it back to stock assuming I have all the correct parts.

Cheerz!

I just finished cleaning this puppy up and did a quick setup. I got the setscrews loose and was able to adjust them...

Holly crap, what a sound and the neck feels amazing and is really straight after a small adjustment. Truss rod was completely loose...

I even started beating on the trem for laughs and after settling in, it's actually staying in tune too...???

This thing is rock solid

Any help with the questions would be very appreciated. Year and pickup brand?

Bump...

Anybody know the pickup type on these early 22 fret Robins?
Were they just ESP pickups?

Anybody know what year this one is?

Sorry for my delay in replying - I've been snowed under with work.

1984 or 1985 ESP-made Raider I.
There's no way to accurately pinpoint the date of manufacture with MIJ Robins. The serial numbers are arbitrary.
The pickup is probably original and should be a Gotoh. These old Gotohs are great sounding pickups.
