I think that post tells much more about the author than me. Washing dirty laundry in the street isn't my style. Casting aspersions on my credibility and integrity on this public forum is wrong when considering the facts. The moderators should examine the merits of this, if it's allowed to remain. I've not discussed or trashed the character of anyone on this site. That will remain my practice.

What a bunch of candy ass bullshit.

Dave Rauschenberger is a piece of shit top to bottom front to back. Look up Turd in the dictionary & there's his photo.

You guys want to deal with him & censor me fine.

Apparently Kizanski had words with the clown too.

I've been 150% straight & have done everyone I've done business with (or otherwise) extremely right.

Put that in your "Politically correct" pipe & smoke it Smitty.

I had already stopped incoming messages from the forum but now I'm outta here. I love my Robin's & I'll always be faithful but you guys suck.

What a stuffy uptight situation you've woven & believe me Rockers are neither uptight or stuffy & the last thing WE ARE is politically correct.

Had Kiz warned me about this asshole to begin with I would not have tried doing business with him ... Thanks kiz... appreciate the head's up.

Wait until he's cursing Greg out over the phone because Dave's Wintz 15 minutes late building him a guitar... Believe me Greg... Dave the dueshbag Rauch ain't worth the money but you'll just have to find out the hard way.

Be like Ron Thorn ... don't be real & take criticism ... let's all be happy drones & kiss lots of ass. That's Rock n Roll?

To set the record straight again:

Kizanski and I did not have words. We had a smooth transaction w/ no problems. He was actually commenting on his disbelief regarding my offer. I believe his criticism wasn't pointed at me.

Greg is my friend. I don't let business get in the way of friendship. We've discussed myraid subjects unrelated to music on many occasions. I also consulted him with regard to this transaction. I trust his opinion and should have asked for my money back.

I do, however, expect grown men to conduct business as grown men. Don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's rainin'. The following pic was the finale of a deal I'd have rather not done. Would you want a $2,000 guitar shipped to you in a box like this?

http://robinlovers.com/discus/messages/6/5883.jpg
My FedEx guy was astounded. He asked me, if I wanted him to view my opening the box. I told him, "that DEPENDS". Are those for you, Chuck?

You may edit my post Smitty, if you like. I thought this was over. Please leave Chuck's up. Sunshine is the best disinfectant.

Wow.

Since I was mentioned by name, I guess I'll speak my piece.

I forsee no problems with DR, he and I get along damn fine without discussing guitars. He has never had me do up a spec for a guitar and then not order it from me. He is respectful of the time that I have at work. He calls, he buys, and then we shoot the breeze about kids and other things that friends talk about. Kiz didn't give you a "heads up" because there is nothing to warn you about, Chuck.

"What a stuffy uptight situation you've woven & believe me Rockers are neither uptight or stuffy & the last thing WE ARE is politically correct. "

Wow, now -that's- a Waterloo speech worth keeping.

Dave - was your inclusion of the "inspirational" message in your photo intentional? LOL.

The Shark
10-08-2007, 10:35 AM
Actually, no. It wasn't intentional. The caption "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups" might be obscured by the box. I write a political column in my local paper and one of the subscribers bought it for me.

Skydiving is really big in DeLand (just 15 minutes from my home). They have "large groups" come from all over the world to set records here. The guy that owns the largest company sent it to me. I also "jumped" tandem with him last year. And yes, I was scared to death. It's all fun and games until you're at the door, I assure you.

"Waterloo"! That's priceless.

This whole thread is a crock of shit, I know Chuck and he is a good guy...Rauschenberger I have never met nor had any dealings with, so I cannot and will not comment.

The Shark
10-09-2007, 08:28 PM
Mr. Walters:

The "thread" was posted in "Show us your Robin". I was showing off some gear with my Avalon front and center. It became a "crock of shit" when Chuck assailed my character in public. That post was edited. Then, he went after the moderator, warned others not to deal with me, and most importantly railed on the "piece of shit douche bag" (that would be me). That required a bit more agressive response on my part. I tried to introduce humor into a bad situation and attempted to change the subject. I've not brought this on myself as your friend did. I told him privately how I felt and he felt the need to bring his inconsistent character into plain view.

I don't really feel this is an opportunity for people to "buddy-up". If you talked to Chuck, you know how I feel about the guitar. You want to stick up for the guy, that's your prerogative. You should read the thread again. He's a real "nice guy".

No offense intended to you, Darren.

Darren:

Chuck got rid of Chuck. Nobody asked him to quit. Nobody called him names. Nobody impugned his character. Nobody destroyed his reputation on this forum for him. I'm confident that my reputation is in tact, but I am frustrated. Do you understand? Read the thread. Who else is a "douche bag" on the Robin Forum, Darren? Who else is excrement? Are you following me, Darren? We're all civilized here, right?

I'll say it one more time. I don't want to wash my dirty laundry in the street. I don't want to discuss the specifics of a situation I'd have rather not been involved with to people I don't really know.

You're asking me to be patient and communicate more effectively? I posted some pics on a thread. The rest of the story is due to your friend Chuck's temper, not mine.

I won't comment any further on this thread. I'll let anyone else that cares about it "pipe up". It'll be fun. Just not for me.

Smitty
10-10-2007, 01:24 AM
Okay, I'll pipe up.

A couple days ago I logged in to delete this thread and just let it die without comment after the "Waterloo," and the phone rang and I never got back to it ...then I left town for a couple days. Since then, I can tell you that I received a brief yet sincere apology from Chuck, and Chuck apparently removed himself from the user base. So it goes. Gonna rain Greg? Actually it rained like a sumbitch in Fort Worth. You know that scene in Bridget Jones Diary where she's got her back to the street and a bus comes charging through the standing water behind her and drenches her? I saw that happen that afternoon. Gal standing on the median waiting to cross the other half of the street. She put on 8 pounds in 3 seconds. It was awesome. The End.

Dave - I hope things work out with your Savoy. And thanks for the pic of your Avalon. Great top! Keeps me going as I continue to patiently wait for mine...

Obligatory Robin content - my Seafoam Ranger-Trem still rules! If you haven't played one of these with the new trem, you're cheating yourself. First off Happy Birthday Dave Wintz.

But Jeez..

You guys are something...

I joined that band about a month ago playing bass. The bass player who is in the band photo was basically a hired gun. Great bunch of guys by the way. They gave me a song list initially of 160 tunes. Holy Smoke! Now they narrowed it down to 101 ... It's a great band & I'm honored to be hanging out with them. Thanks for posting the photo. It's a great plug.

As for me ... I wasn't hiding behind a new screen name. Greg called it in his first response & all you have to do is look at the email address attached. I wasn't going to just take this kind of nonsense so I had to come back.

Bottom line ... It's all over with guys. Dave R. got a great guitar for a great price in a timely fashion. Had he not busted my stones so hard I would have found a different box. I have never been acosted like that over a guitar sale & for sure I have sold many many guitars. What he failed to mention is that the box was very strong & filled with bubble wrap. My wife is a nurse so that's where the boxes came from. Had he lightened up & given me any space to breath I would have located a better box but I knew 100% that the guitar would arrive just fine as packed.

There is no behind the scenes bullshit with me. This is truly amazing. Greg ... You took 90 days to get me a quote & it wasn't even a custom build ... it was a Black Savoy Standard with a Bigsby & two hummers ... After you took your good old time getting me a quote (acting as if I was a pain in the ass) you tried to railroad me into buying the guitar. I have news for you... by the time you got off your keister I had already bought 3 others.

I'm not the only guy in town who doesn't care for your crass behavior & I like several others have taken my business elsewhere so I could have a more relaxed experience getting my dream guitars built.

Can we get on with our lives now?

Dave R. has a GREAT guitar sold at a great price that was delivered as promised in a reasonable amount of time.

Am I wrong?

I wish you the best of luck with the guitar Dave.
It was custom built for me & I hope you get some enjoyment out of it.

I'm not upset anymore & I hope we can let this whole thing go.

Ron Thorn & I had some issues which have been resolved between us. I mentioned him because some of his fans will railroad anyone who questions anything about him.

His guitars are very cool & he was going through some hard times with his father going to the hospital during my build. He pushed my build time out farther than I was willing to wait which understandibly upset him.

Ron's not a bad guy & again I wish things would have turned out differently between us but his life pressures collided with my life's pressures & we did not complete a deal at my expense.

I should be happy about that?

I'm never unreasonable. Never.
