Hello Everyone,
Its been a while since I have contributed to the website. I moved back to Kalamazoo Michigan about a month ago and have been busy making those adjustments . I lived here for 12 years and decided it was time to come back.
On another subject, I would like to become a Robin guitar dealer (Represenative) in Michigan. A small independent dealer of Robin guitars and Rio Grande pickups. Not interested in carrying any other products. A website to go with it.
Any advice on what I will need ? Small buisness forms ? Uncle Sam documents ?
Not interested in competing with anyone , just my own little Niche...
thankyou,
Jack Kennedy

Hey Blue, have you spoken to Allen yet? Some makers and distributors won't allow dealers to stock their products without a store front.Just a concern you may want to bring up to Robin. Not to mention the fact that only carrying 1 brand of guitars(although awesome)is often a gamble, and you will effectively narrow your market down to a whisper. If supporting yourself isn't really your main reason for the buisness however.......it may be a really neat idea.Good Luck, and know that I'llhelp you in any way, shape,or form.God Bless,Big John.

Hey there John :-)
Before I go any further , congrats on your Robin double neck . Its really cool how BCR Greg and you worked together to obtain a wonderful instrument like that guitar.
Really cool how you went and gave the Thankyou" too BCR Greg on the website. That gives us all good examples of how things should be done.
I have not talked to Allen , I was planning on doing my own website . Guitar teaching , sell a few guitars , pickups that sort of thing.
No store front , so maybe that will not work out with Robin. Thats OK :-) No one in michigan carrys Robin .
I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Disease , as well as Myofascial Pain Syndrome and a Herniated Disk in my back.I can no longer do any kind of manual labor.
No sympathy wanted or seeking that sort of thing . I can still play like Blue lightning and this is just God's way of steering me back to a pathway he wants me on.
Maybe I will teach wayward youth some guitar and help them on the straight and narrow with God. I worked in that area before only in a different capacity. Like many of us , I have my past with what happens when you get off that pathway.
Wow , I am really hyped about your new Axe !!
Peace To all & be well,
Blue Lightning

My wife has RSD, after being in a car accident. It's hell at times.
You are in our prayers, fella.

Hello Everyone,
Thankyou for your positive input . If anyone wants further information on Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Disease they can start at RSDS.ORG
A good book is " Living with RSDS " ( Lang & Moskovitz ). I tend to take the denial route and be the silent male grind my teeth " it does not hurt " strategy . Gotta live up to my stereo types :-)
I am on a Dumpload of prescriptions too but still can't restring a Floyd Rose Quickly :-)
On another note I am thinking about contacting a small buissness assoiation for some tips .
Anyone know where someone wants to work a decent trade (Bad Cat Hot Cat 15 - mint) For two Carr Hammerheads (New). I need some amps with less knobs/simplicity.
thankyou,
Blue Lightning
