In all my years of searching for Robins on eBay, I have never seen this many on there at one time. I didn't actually count the number of auctions, but there's probably a dozen right now.

Not a fake. Medium scale Ranger Bass. MIJ by Tokai (or maybe ESP? Dave?). They are VERY cool if you are a guitar player and aren't used to playing bass. I would probably buy this one if I didn't already have two of 'em! Check out the catalog here for an example:

There is a fake ranger body on Ebay!! Not the bass! I'm very familiar with the basses, and realize that it is for real.I was simply commenting on the fake ranger body that is currently on ebay.Maybe I should have phrased my comments in a different manner as not to confuse.

I don't think it'd be accurate to call that body a "fake", since the seller isn't trying to pass it off as a real Ranger body. Besides, most people refer to that shape as similar to a 50's Fender P-bass, which the Ranger also happens to resemble.

My bad, last time I checked "knock off"and fake were essentially the same term.Never seen a 50's P bass with three single coil pickup routes before."Knock off" is the term the seller used,so I stand corrected. Thanks Ken,and Burnsy.

It's hard to deny that the Ranger body, pickguard, and control plate were strongly influenced by the '51 Fender P-bass shape. And if I'm not mistaken, the Ranger isn't the first and only guitar to have three sc pickups.

I didn't mean to jump, but the word "fake" typically implies some sort of malicious intent, which I don't think that seller
meant.

Like I said.....I stand corrected, and thanks again for pointing out my obvious oversights.
