Dave must be a proud dad when his guitars hit the hands of National talent.... This was up at Creation Fest about 7-8pm on Saturday

That's cool. What band is that? I've been to the Creation Festival many times, but missed this year.

One of the most energetic bands I've seen ever. Definitely a must see.

Wow, nifty! Seems they have sort of Tool thing going with a twist of Evanescence and even a bit of Avril Lavigne. They play with Richard Patrick of Filter / Army of Anyone...

I've seen him use an Avalon in one of their videos...

Samheer (SP?) had two Robin Avalons... Both needed head stock repairs.

Did both of his Avalons get knocked over or something?

I would assume Satan got them. This being said, no offense intended, but I do wonder why they feel the need to sell themselves as a religious band. Is this a hook or something like Styper? I think their music stands well on its own--- they certainly have good taste in guitars, a chick singer that screams, and those dudes leap and prance across the stage like a troop of possessed lemurs! What more can you ask for in a band?

I really don't view them as a "religious" band, to me that would be a praise band. I don't think they're no different then say Switchfoot, POD, Relient K, they give the listener a sense of hope in this crazy world.

What do you mean? "Why do they feel the need to sell themselves as a religious band?" Maybe they are actually religious. Maybe they have found hope in something bigger than themselves. Everyone believes something and out of their beliefs flow their actions...and song lyrics. The style of music is irrelevant. Why can't good bands also be Christian bands?
The bands that Chollie listed are great bands which are highly accomplished and play huge, sold out venues. I would also add U2 to the list. Bono is religious; he is a professing Christian and he actually does something to make the world a better place by relieving third world debt and working toward fighting injustice in our world.
Sorry for the rant. I obviously feel strongly about the subject.

Hey, I hear you. I did not mean anything more than what I said, and apologize if I pressed any buttons. I totally agree with spirituality and a being the source of many a thing-- God knows where we might all be with out a higher power, as we understand him. I have been out of the states for a few years now, and I guess hearing the term "Christian band" just always makes me instantly think of that Stryper poster that hung my friends wall back in Georgia. and no one, I mean no one, looks good in striped yellow and black spandex, except for maybe Lita Ford.
You are right, I stand corrected. It really does take more balls to get out there and say what you really feel, as opposed to parading another sneer-and-goatee-no-one-understands-how-grim-life-is bit. More higher power to them. Randy

We can all agree that no one looks good in spandex. I think there is even something about that in the Bible!

I think that was the 12th commandment... and the 11th.... Thou Shalt Rock!

Bottom line: it's easier to break into the Christian scene. Also just as easy to get screwed by your label in, unfortunately.
First time I ever saw a Robin was being used by Allstar United's lead guitarist. "What is that thing and why does it sound so.....great?" It was a Ranger Standard in Sunburst.
