I found this strage stratocaster at my friend's house yesterday.
Is this the totally Saquier-based Stratocaster with only a Robin Guitar's neckplate?
Can I have cool& smart guy's comment on it? Would you please!!!!!!! ;-)http://robinlovers.com/discus/messages/6/5296.jpg

This isn't a Robin--how it got a Robin neckplate I have no idea. Robin has made some Strat-style guitars in the past, but this one looks like a plain old Squier to me.

That looks like a JV Squier neck ... not just any old Squier. JV's were the first Squiers made out of Japan in the Early 80's, and now fairly collectible if all original.

Good eye, Iain. I was thinking that as well. Other than the crappy Gotoh tuners, those necks were closer to a vintage neck than the USA Reissue series necks were.

Yep, the JV's had US made Fender pickups as well.
I've also seen a few that look similar with regard to decals, but have 'Made in USA' on the headstock. I think they were even rarer, as they were made for a short time in the US and Mex after Japan, and then went to Korea.
Theres a really good site here if you are interested in the history behind it.. it looks like its down atthe moment though.
