I visited every guitar store in the Bay Area looking for the LP that wasn't until I almost gave up. Nothing worked. Then I saw this Avalon at Sylvan Music back in my old hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. Took me about a minute to decide. Had to mail it back to Switzerland...so now...I wait and look at web sites. All I have is this crummy cell phone pic... Hold me, all I have is my Charvette to console me.

Very nice! I know it's hard to be patient, but it will be worth it.

The first thing I thought of was, oh, crap, what if everyone here knows everything there is to know about Avalons and can immediately see that I bought a bum guitar with holes in it that I don't see? OK, this is what happens when you don't walk out with it in your hand. BTW, I discovered that real Swiss cheese is mostly hole-less.

As a "cheesy" country we are, Holland has a few sort's with many and big hole's..
I think the avalon looks good enough without any though...

We have liftoff!! The Swiss Avalon, free of holes, rattling nut and all, makes its live debut at none other than Nuclear Central -- CERN!! Hot dang me, they shure love that guitar, and so does I! And wouldn't you know -- no one, not no one, noticed I actually had a ScratchPad on the back.

Cool guitar Randy! I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks.

Here's to many more gigs with your Robin.

A funky flattop furious flame job Avalon was spotted in Geneva, Switzerland. Now that we know there are at least three Robins in this country, agents are looking to snap a shot of the mysterious import. More posted on the issue soon.
