Seen in Houston Robin Freedom Bass

I went to see a friend who works at GC in Clear Lake, south side of Houston. They have a trans-red Freedom Bass there. Sounds nice acoustically. I didn't plug it in. I'm not a bass player. Missing one knob. Serial number is 21103. Needs a set up.

It's priced at $899. They have a minimum set at $799. They took it in for 625 or 650. A salesman showed me the computer screen. My friend might be able to get it below 799, but I'm not sure. It's very clean, just needs a setup and a new knob. Actually, the pots seem a little loose... turn a little too easy maybe. I have no idea what the market is for these. Market value on a MIJ Freedom Bass is between $350-500.

Way too much. I have a trans-red in nice condition I'll probably be listing soon and I would certainly not expect to fetch any where near what GC is gouging. I'm no shill, but if you're going to buy a nice Freedom; do yourself a favor and buy Willie's. He's straight up, has a good eye for nice instruments, an excellent source, and a really nice bass listed right now.

Eventually, GC will end up blowing it out! They take in stuff for too much all of the time.
