Here is my new purchase. I think it's an 85, but the serial number starts with 89. Almost positive it's a neck through and not a set neck. Can anyone help me identify the year and more about this guitar? Thanks!

Hey Mike I will be getting one of these soon myself. I seen this one on Ebay and was watching it. Glad you got it. It is around a 85, I am wondering why it does not have the binding around the head and the Robin logo is smaller than usual and it does not have a kayler mabey its a newer than 85, mabey 86-87. Cool guitar and I bet it plays great. Hugh.

We're thinking it might be an 89 and made in US, but tuners say "Made in Japan" and whammy is a Robin - licensed by Floyd Rose. Ken Jones is looking into it a bit more for me. However, check out the 85 ad; may be the first one shown.
