It took me 5 years, but we now have reverse headstock Robins! Chollie gets the first one, because he's a good guy.

That is a fine looking guitar, Chollie. Good luck prying that out of Greg's hands. It never ceases to amaze me the quality maple that gets used on these guitars. The figuring on the necks is far beyond most builders. Hell, the maple cap under my gold top avalon has nice figuring that you can see on the scrape binding. Nice to see the return of the reverse headstock...Yipee!

Robin guitars once again has raised the bar with the help of proactive dealers like BCRGreg and Randy from Infinity, further proof to support the little guys. :Golf Clap: I'm interested to see what another 5 years brings us..... http://robinlovers.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

I've played a few Robins over the years... (cough, cough) and I really do prefer the reverse headstock. I'm stoked that it is finally an option on the Rangers.
To top it all off, IMHO Dave and his crew are at this time making the best guitars they have ever made. The new guitars coming out of the factory kick ass! Every one I pick up plays and sounds great.

Beautiful guitar, Chollie. You aren't lucky. You're patient. And you have been rewarded.
I'm dreaming of one with a reverse headstock and a trem. Hmm.

This one isn't patience.... This was a last minute decision, Greg has a good idea of what type of bait to use to get me to bite.
I have a matching Epi Sparkle Top that used to be hanging in his shop (Yeah I know it's an epi but it was a gift and after some mods the thing sounds great now) I'm sure if you look at some older posts I kept mentioning 'Needs to be blue w/Pearl' well I got it. http://robinlovers.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

Hey Chollie...
This is A LOT like the Texas Rawhide Hollow that I have on order...
Mine's Translucent Royal Blue over Swamp Ash with the Cream Pearloid Guard & Bobbins...
Also a Flame neck & Flame board ... much influenced by playing your E Type at the reunion ... (Freakin' Awesome)
I also got the headstock logo & one Dolphin inlay in select Blue Green Abalone.
Blue & Cream Pearloid it is!
What a Beauty ... Congratulations!

Man Chollie...
I can't wait for my guitar or the reunion ...
I've been looking at real estate down in Texas all year so I'm going to be there for a week+ around the reunion as soon as Dave sets a date.
It's Exciting when one of these baby's finally lands in your hands eh?

The first robin I've ever played was greg's ranger. It was the day it arrived and he threw it at me so i could play it, and at that moment i was sold on Robins. Then he mentioned doing the Etypes and I was going through a single pickup phase coz I love jrs, so needless to say it was a perfect time to jump on board the Robin boat.
At first i wasn't exactly quite sold on the reverse headstock but playing it feels a lot better then a standard headstock. It will be a great addition to the option list Robin has.

Yeah, boyee! Good job, Greg! You not only sound cool, you look cool too! That's cool! And good call to take the price tag off the Ranger before you played it. One question: how did you choreograph the the runners to pass behind the stage just before you take off?? -- really adds to the excitement! There ought to be a spot on this forum to post Robins specifically in action, no?

First off, I not only look cool, I SMELL cool.
Second, Chollie owns that one. Bless him for letting me break it in.
Third, the event was the annual Relay For Life for the American Cancer society.
Fourth, a video section would be cool.

The Grumpy Old Men are my kind of band. Good harmonies, good playin', and good sound. Those years of experience pay off.
Greg needs to put on a little weight (20lbs), if he wants to "sell" the Grumpy and Old deal. And a skin head wig wouldn't hurt either.
The blue sparkle Robin Ranger doesn't detract from the overall package either, if you know what I mean.
Kudos, fellas. Makes us "seasoned" veterans proud.
