Well People,
I just finished up purchasing my 4th Robin Guitar from John Williams at "Joyful Noise Music " in Middlefield Ohio. Its a USA Robin Medley made in 1990 , its in absolute brand new condition . Just like it came out of the factory :-)
The Price ?? the price was excellent and was the result of supporting a small independent dealer:-)
I have two other Robins that I purchased from John Williams (Korina Medely , Avalon Pro ). The Avalon is a prototype ,the Korina Medely is one of a kind.
This has been truly a higher example of how a small independent guitar dealer represents Robin Guitars and treats his customers as human beings 1st :-)
This is what guitar shops are all about and will remain so if we purchase from dealers like John Williams. If we support these examples , all of us benefit. You won't get any of this in a corporate world :-(
What did I pay ?? Never needs to be told :-)
Benefits otherwise ?? Priceless :-)

I have to agree with you there Jack. I'm in the middle of an area that has 7-8 guitar shops near by. 10 mile radius of my house. and the one I deal with the most is the one that knows my name. Most stores know who I am, coz i float in and out so much but within 2 months of me going to this shop they knew my name. It just brings it to a new level of Dealer/buyer relationship. And it's good for all the companies that perticular dealer works with. Hence my order for a Wrangler.

I am lucky enough to live fairly close too Elderly instruments in East Lansing. I have done most of my purchasing thru them over the years. Even so, I made a 500 mile round trip to Joyful Noise Music too get my first Robin and now I own four.
I knew that there was a real positive influence with John Williams from the moment we spoke about guitars. Pure honesty , a rare trait these days.
The area that surrounds John Williams store ia a real heart tugger . Beautiful landscapes , vineyards , Omnish farms and countryside. If this does not touch you in some spiritual way , I don't know what too say too someone.
I much prefer the atmoshphere of a represenative of "All Things Robin" like John williams then some of the current Fad stores.
There is no internal value in a lot of those big box stores . I prefer too call Someone like John Williams a represenative of Robin.It seems to describe more appropriatly how he views his store and people.
Believe me , I am ranting and raving about a topic that I have gone on and on about many times.
The store that knows you by name , shakes your hand , says hello without any pretentious motive is where we all want too be.
Your New Robin wrangler will be a very fine personal instrument . Thankyou for your input on the forumn....
