To repeat myself, I have one basic rule here. "Try to be nice." If you can't be bothered, well, neither can I.

Jeff:
In actuality, you demonstrated one of the wonderful secrets of the "doubleneck". I love the drone of the unplayed neck in harmony (sometimes) with the played neck. I used to have a cherry Gibson, but they are so expensive for how much I'd really use it, I don't have one anymore. I've been in the weeds waiting for an inexpensive Robin or Ibanez to pop up.
Your contribution is appreciated. You handled this whole thing like the gentleman you are. I watched it again just because!:)
Dave R.
Thanks Dave.. It was never about what I actually played on the guitar but what it sounded like. And it sounds freaking cool. There isn't too many guitars out there that can sound like that. But I have one of them.

At the time it was Marshall 40watt combo, which blew up like all Marshalls do. No pedals, and the king of the hill, the 94-95 Namm show Avalon. That guitar is retired after 10yrs of service .............. but there are plenty others as you well know!

Hey Dan:
Can you post a pic of the "retired" Avalon? I'd like to see a good pic of it.
Also, you should check out Brown Note Amplifiers. My buddy Moss Hudson is hand building some incredible amplifiers. Check out the sound clips. They don't "blow up" and they impress everyone. I have the D'Lite 22 which is a half-power Dumble Overdrive Special (early model) and a Bluesmaster 44 which is an HRM Overdrive Special (Hot Rodded Marshall/Hot Rubber Monkey model) with separate trim controls for the lead channel. I've owned almost every amp ever built. These are special.

Prof. Dan,
They shoulda heard the Randy Wood flattop LP through the Hiwatt Custom 100 & 4x12 Marshall bottom at Randy's Rock City, circa 1980. Too bad there is no recording of that. Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings with the Hiwatt on about 7---made your blue jeans rustle in the wind comin' off those speakers!!! What ever happened to that mule??? Inquiring mind(s) want to know.
