Hey everyone. Long time fan of Robin Lovers and recent convert. I just picked up this beauty yesterday from Greg at BCR and I am really impressed. http://robinlovers.com/discus/messages/6/2758.jpg I left work early today and played it for two hours. All I can say is, "Wow!" It's perfect...sustain and harmonics that I've never experienced in a guitar. The craftsmanship is second to none and the pickups are killer. Much appreciation to Greg and the boys at Robin for making such fine instruments. I've finally found a guitar I know I'll keep!

My suggestion is that you bring that Lil thing over here...
Let me play it for several hours
through the LOUDEST AMP I can muster up
& then...

I'll give you my opinion ...
Anybody else feel this way?
Can I get a YEA ???

As a Robin newbie myself, about a month or so ago I bought my first Robin..a Savoy Classic. That guitar is now my #1 and it continues to blow me away with its amazing tones and playability, not to mention the value.
Congrats to you and your new Robin...may it bring you more than you expect.
cheers

How ya diggin the guitar after having it a while?
I love the stoptail.
I have one on my Avalon too...
It really lets me bend notes without breaking strings...
That thing's a beauty for sure ...
Aren't those pickups awesome?

Chuck,
I love it! Pickups are awesome! I've always played single coils before, but this is so much more fun - sustain and grind. The jury's still out on the wrap around. I really want to try a pigtail tailpiece (either the 50's replica or the intonatable). I know Greg is a big fan of the 50's replica. Do you have an opinion on either?

Hi,
Well the 50's replica looks cool.
I bought a Tonepros for my Avalon
while it was on layaway & after the
guitar arrived I never installed it.
The stock tailpiece has worked fine for me ...
I may go the distance at some point
with another aftermarket tailpiece
if this one starts breaking strings
or not tuning properly
but for now I'm SATISFIED
Greg's done a lot of research on different
tailpieces for the old TV model guitars
with the Wraparounds & all their variations
I'm sure his advice is good
even if he needs a haircut ... http://robinlovers.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif
I have a set of dog trimmers that
would work wonders on a mane like that!
Know what I'm sayin there girly man? OOO!!!
KAPOW!!! Tequila at 30 paces?
How bout I just show ya how to play that thing
there China Doll?
heh heh ... Sorry Kevin ... couldn't resist
a stab at a Gumpy Old Man who has more
Robin Guitars than I do...
Oh by the way...
Try a Wrangler / Rawhide
The Rio single coils have all the tone
& all the grind....
I have a Slabtop Supreme
& man it SMOKES
The Rio single coils are killer

Chuck, you talk big with the dog clipper stuff. When you actually grow some cajones and show up, we'll see about the haircut.....
AIN'T gonna happen.
