I just ordered my first Robin, from Junior's Music, who were a pleasure to deal with. My new baby is a two-tone sunburst Ranger, with a beautiful, highly figured maple neck.

I plan on pulling the white pickguard off ASAP, and replacing it with a tortoise one. Has anyone here ordered a replacement pickguard for a Ranger? Where did you get it, and are you happy with it?

Along with my new guitar, I just joined this group, and am looking forward to joining the discourse here.

My brief bio is:
Lieutenant with Orlando, Florida F.D. (for a living).
28 years experience as a performer (for fun!).
I play whatever I'm being paid for, but the Blues is my passion.
I'm fortunate to have some great gear, including several PRS, a Don Grosh strat, Taylor and National acoustics, and Dr Z Maz 18 and Z28 amps, along with a Germino Masonette 25. The Robin will no doubt be a wonderful addition.

Sorry I missed the factory event this month, count me in for the next one!

Have Junior order you a tortoise one direct from Robin. Might as well have the real deal.

Welcome aboard. Fair warning: Most of us used to have ONE Robin, too...

Have Junior give Allen Hill at Robin a call. I'm sure they'd be happy to switch the guard for you!
I recently got a custom Machete and wanted several items changed after I ordered (pickups, etc...) and they were great to deal with!
Also, be aware. Robins are addictive. Betcha cant have just one!

Yea, I can identify with that. Especially after our trip to Allen Hill's Office/Guitar Gallery!

Oh boy, this sounds very dangerous; I started out with one PRS too, now I've got 3!

You are so screwed now!!! I started with one (as we all did) now I am looking at getting numbers 4 and 5! I have had 2 PRS guitars a CU22 and CU24, a ton of Fenders, and a handful of Gibson's (shhh, don't tell anyone about the Gibbys) and I am far more impressed with my Robins than ony of those, especially the Gibsons. These guitars to me are some of the finest quality guitars you can get PERIOD.

I can relate; when I got my Grosh, within two months I had sold all my Fenders - there is just no comparison.
