Hello Robin,
This looks really nice and I prefer my own instruments with a plain fretboard. No inlays or side dots. These inlays are really classy . Maybe someday I will have a custom inlays with tear drops running down the length of the fret board .

I'm partial to the dolphin inlay and I feel that they look 100% better.

not bad, but since it's a texas product, i think robin should do more.... like...lone star flag inlays, or, howsabout....PEARL ARMADILLOS...? (i never quite understood the reason behind the dolphin motif...). keep up the good work dave....i'll be getting another robin someday!

I think the Dolphin inlays are a referrence to the Gulf of Mexico being right next to Houston. I was out in the Gulf this past Saturday and saw 4 pods out there. I could be wrong about this, but it was the only thing I could think of!

Picture if you will, deep emerald green with an incredible bound quilt top. With a bound fingerboard adorned with the new inlays.Gold hardware with a bigsby! Avalon or Savoy, either one would suit me fine. Way to go guys.

I like the new design... simple always seams to to be timeless... but hey, then there's the Texas/custom possibilites that draws the eye and makes everyone go goo goo ga ga... man, vanity is a killer.... While we're at it, I think it would look cool, (and be a great branding idea), to engrave the Rio Grande insignia, RG, etc. on the nickle plated covers... sign me up for a set....

THAT's a great idea!
