Hello all,
I think I just picked up a '93 Standard bass, perhaps--at least that is the first two serial no's. Looks just like the green Medley Standard bass with the split headstock in the '92 catalog, but this one is a teal blue (I think). Very cool, I'm taking it to practice tonite--be interesting to see what reaction(s) I get (like--what is that-----a what?).
Great feeling neck, very cool sounds from the P/U's, very little wear--this has not been played much (although the 3-way switch has been toggled enough that it doesn't like to engage the neck P/U very well. I may need to replace that).
Lite weight, great balance, beautiful finish, I am very impressed. Heck, it was worth buying just for the cool headstock alone. Now all I need is to find an original case.....
