This looks like a Tokai built 21 fretter...
Never seen a Tokai version with a Kahler though. Anybody know if and when they started installing these. Custom order maybe?

Anyways it's on it's way and after a quick bath and will be joining the rest of my small Robin flock.

Well here she is all cleaned up...
Nice neck on these...remind me a bit of a nightswan R1.
Love this configuration and color

The Kahler is not stock. The backplate is proof that it was originally a trem guitar.

Just wondering, was the Kahler an add on option added once the Tokai built guitars were received at Robin?

or
Did Robin not offer Kahlers at all with the Tokai units?

I've seen an RH2 with one as well with a similar string tree delete...see below...
I'm just guessing here since these Kahlers also came out in 82.

Dave W,
Maybe you remember if a few late Tokai built units were customized with Kahlers?
or maybe done after sale by RR?

Thanks alot Dave...that clears things up!

I love all my different era Robins, especially the USA Medleys.
The ESP and Tokai are really full of mojo though!

So much fun to learn about the evolution...You really were and still are ahead of the curve!
