My new Exotic Top Medley

I have been lurking around for a while and thought I should make a post of my new Robin. This is the first picture I have of it. It was delivered to Rockin Robin in Houston on Friday and they took this shot for me. I will have it in my hands next Saturday. I'll post more pics when I get it if anyone would like them.

Man, you got yours early!!! Mine is about 2 months late. I also went with ebony for the fingerboard. That single dolphin on yours is trick.

Yeah, I got lucky. I ordered mine July 4th weekend. It only took two months to get it. After several days of playing, I'm VERY happy. The pic I posted just doesn't do it justice either. The blue looks darker in different light and the falme on the neck is totally killer. Unplugged and just strumming, it's almost as loud as my Ovation! I had to beg for the dolphin; Dave said he didn't have anymore, but after a few emails he agreed to put one on for me.

I've been keeping the neighbors up running it through my Guitarport into my Marshall. It's been a continous concert. I'm thinking of going to the reunion to shake the hands of the crew that built it and possibly see about getting a custom Avalon made (think Zakk Wylde Les Paul). I'm hooked, to say the least!

What, July 4th weekend!!! Mine was ordered just after January 1st, I was told 6 or 7 months. How can I get that hookup?!

Actually, when I called Dave, he told me that I was lucky because he happened to be making Medley bodies that day! I told him what I wanted and then was going to Houston to see my parents for the Fourth, so went and met Bart at RR and the rest is as they say, history. God, six months!! I bet you have been going crazy!!
