Does anyone know if the "Robinite" top guitars all had the same body wood? Was there a certian wood used for them all, or were they all mostly one wood. Any info would help.

Legend has it that the Robinite top is made up of crushed Robin eggs from the Algonkian mountains.
I'm not sure about the backs. I would assume mahogany?

Crushed robin eggs you say?? There must be alot of robins in the Algonkian mountains cause I've seen a few Robinite guitars. :D
That's a sweet legend by the way..
I had heard that it was prehistoric robin eggs that had been colored by thousand of years of sunshine and rainbows!! :P

Does anyone know what tonal quality (if any) that Robinite adds. I would think that a big slab of "crushed robin eggs" would only act to deaden the sound of the body wood.

If you have to ask, you are not fit to know.

Actually, Robinite has lesser origins.
It's pickguard material.

I believe the guitars are ash under that stuff.

That's a cool color. looks like frozen green ice. I've noticed that the Robinite guitars don't seem to resell for much. I kinda like em.

I just sent the money for the green Robinite at Phil's Guitars. I'll throw up some pics when it gets here.

cool, I almost bought that guitar about 4 months ago but decided not to since it has a Floyd. I am not much on Floyd's and sold off all of Floyd equipped guitars.
Good score!!!

That's kinda funny. I just sold my Avalon to get a floyd equiped Medley. I just wish I would have never sold my first Medley. Or my second for that matter. My first was a single piece quilt top. Cherry sunburst. Looked like sunset on clouds....man I miss that guitar. http://robinlovers.com/discus/clipart/sad.gif
My other Medley was a Koa top/Mahogany back, split headstock,Flame Koa neck. Traded that one for a PRS. Total piece of junk. Sounded flat. (The PRS of course, not the Robin)
I just hope the Robinite will be at least 1/2 as good as either of those guitars.
